After finishing my research and gathering all my research materials. I was going to start building up my scene which was going to be the whole of Kyrenia harbour. But due to the fact that I had only just managed to only do a ruff block out of it the Harbour for Dan's unit which I was going to focus more on lighting as a new skill as to help me on later with this project.
But due to my late start on research on Kyrenia Harbour which happened during Christmas & New Year holiday which meant didn't have enough time to practice on my lighting.
And during second term had two more units IPP & Jared's Unit (Using Shotgun = an Online Schedule Application that aloud people to interact as well as create gantt charts to help with managing your time/schedule) as well as my desertion were I had to write about 10.000 words.
During all that I was also asked by Depa to work on some stuff for her project "Leap of Faith" which meant holding back my project until her stuff was out of the way.
I really wanted to get into working on my project but by the time I started it, it feel like I wasted all my energy on all the other projects and could not focus on it properly as to reach my main goal and finish the whole environment.
Had a tutorial with Mike close to the end of term two to see how I was doing..
He was happy to see that I have help other teams and asked me if i still wanted to carry on helping them or would I'd be happier working on my original idea with Kyrenia harbour.
And I said to him I'd be happier working on my own idea cause I feel I don't blend in to well working in a group also that I wanted to produce something solo as to be able to show my abilities as an individual.
Mike had a look at my work and quickly and managed to come up with a really helpful alternative suggesting of just producing three beauty shots and they would be like mood pieces as well as display my lighting skills and abilities.. and each shot differently planed. So like one shot of Kyrenia Castle during morning (Dawn) , Second shot a town well as a center piece with the shadow of trees as a midday shot (Midday) and third but not least an evening shot of a couple of buildings close to the harbour as well as the minaret (Dusk).
