This is a 3D model of the sword I had to create for Depa’s project. It was modelled in Autodesk Maya 2010. I took a cube where I extruded on all 4 faces to get the right shape and then tweaked towards a finished version by moving the vertices about.
A close-up of the sword where I used the scale tool to show it is not flat but has a rounded shape to the handle.

Unsmooth Version:
This model was referenced on the Chesterfield style of armchair. Depa wanted this to be created for her main character. It was quite a difficult shape to model. For this object I used again a cube which I transformed into a rectangle and also subdivided a couple of times. I extruded from the 2 far ends of the rectangle and managed to create the feet support, then at the other side of the rectangle I extruded upwards and to the right to create the arm and then extruded the back. I deleted the appropriate faces so as to stitch up the 2 pieces together. I then mirrored the other half, deleted the relevant faces and stitched the 2 halves up to create the finished model.
