PROJECTS I WORKED ON:

PROJECTS I WORKED ON:
Tom's Project: Unhatched

Clym saw my UV mapping skill through Depa's project that I was working on and asked me If I had time to help him out by UV mapping one of the characters.

Originally I told Clym I was too busy and that I might have not been able to work on it whatsoever. But I still wanted to put myself to the challenge so I asked him to send me the file anyway just in case I found time and could manage to do it after all. I didn't want to commit and not be able to deliver

Working on Depa's project got a bit dull so I decided to give Tom's character which was modelled by Kofi.

Surprisingly I managed to do the whole thing in less than three hours.. I sent the file back to Clym.

Clym got back to me amazed, happy and super pleased with my fast response as well as Tom the next day...I ran through each section of the map just to make sure he knew what he was texturing but I didn't really need that because my mapping was more or less straight forward and clean.

A few weeks later he also asked me to UV map a tree branch for him which again I delivered to him quickly and he was satisfied, so overall it was a good experience doing work for him.

Texture Research:

While I was there I also took loads of images of various textures to help me with the project. I took anything I could get in order to use them later for my environment as textures from my models. Plus I thought it would be better to have the real ones rather then looking up on the Internet for something similar.
This would enhance my project to be more realistic and convincing that is close to the real thing.

On Location:

These are various photos that I took with my phone of Kyrenia Harbour.

I tried to be selective with my choices even thought there are quite a lot here... so please excuse me if it gets a bit repetitive but I have some with the same composition and camera angle just to show lighting changes as to look at them later for my lighting reference.

I was more interested in sunset lighting just before the sun drops and all the amazing colours start to show like yellow/orange/pink/purple which I thought might be interesting. I also tried to take as many interesting shots and angles for compositions of my environment as it could just to give me various ideas about what angle or shot I would want .
